National Landcare Directory
Find a care group or regional NRM contact
Basic Group Search
To find a group in your region using the Basic Group Search, simply enter your postcode and click search. The search results will return care groups with the same postcode. If you cannot locate an appropriate care group, your regional NRM organisation is highlighted in a box at the top of the search results. Please call your regional NRM facilitator for more information.
Advanced Group Search
The Advanced Group Search enables you to narrow down the search results by selecting a combination of two or more of your postcode, NRM region, group issues (eg salinity), state or group type (eg landcare, coastcare).
NOTE: New registrations are being received from groups every day.
Landcare groups
Landcare is a national network of thousands of locally-based, independent community groups who care for our country. Group members include landholders and other volunteers who may contribute a few hours a week or many hours a month. Many groups are looking for new members or occasional volunteers.
Regional Natural Resource Management (NRM) organisations
Regional NRM organisations like Catchment Management Authorities (CMAs) are implementing regional investment strategies. They are a good source of information about priorities issues, funding opportunities and support at the regional and local level.
Disclaimer
The National Landcare Directory contains contacts for independent, community-run landcare and other environmental community groups. Landcare Australia is not a peak representative body for these independent groups. Landcare Australia does not accept responsibility for the content of their sites, for their projects or campaigns. People using the Directory to find a group to volunteer with or support can enquire further about a group by contacting their regional NRM facilitator (eg Catchment Management Authority) or local Council.
